Zazoom is a digital media organization that produces and distributes engaging video news entertainment to AOL, Yahoo, NDN, and Dailymotion, under the brand Buzz60.
Key Responsibilities/Strategy:
Lead the Social Media department to distribute video news entertainment across YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, #waywire, Google+ for branded channel Buzz60.
Engage daily with a fanbase of over 13K and create content+copy tailored specifically to each social network and audience.
Target outreach to influential bloggers, users in the Twittersphere, forums, fan sites, and YouTube superstars, to build new relationships and forge new partnerships.
Use audience engagement and brand reputation to determine new strategies for content creation, pitching new stories to the editorial team, and to create new social campaigns to excite our audience.
Take photographs, create GIFs, Vines, and behind-the-scenes videos, to share with our audience.
Host Tweetchats and Google Hangouts with our hosts to build a richer engagement experience for our community.
Reporting:
Develop and monitor KPIs, used to measure the success of social media efforts.
Weekly and monthly report to Executive Team on fan growth, engagement, video views, and revenue attributed to social media.
Meet with video hosts once a week to assess their social media presence, and modify their social media strategy
Successes:
Grew the Buzz60 community (YouTube, Facebook, Twitter) 232% in less than 6 months
** Grew the Buzz60 Facebook page 546% over an 8 month period w/ less than $500 ad spend
Built 3 successful relationships with influential sites, yielding over 1K video views (PSFK.com, CuteOverload.com, HooplaHa.com)
Twitter CTR of content increased 900%, and total views of content across social networks increased 6315% in 8 months
Hosted Buzz60’s first Google Hangout, which was shortlisted as an official event for Social Media Week NYC 2013
